In the second inning Rodney Choy Foo drove in Brandon Pinckney with a sacrifice fly tying the score at one. The Indians broke the game open in the fourth inning, after a one out, would-be double play was mishandled by second baseman J.C. Holt for the Pelicans. With the inning kept alive, Choy Foo hit a two-RBI double scoring Pinckney and Stephen Head. One batter latter, Crowe singled home Matt Whitney and the K-Tribe took a 4-1 lead. Matt Whitney added an insurance run in the bottom of the sixth inning, with a solo homerun, his seventh homer of the year.

Wyatt Alan (1-0) picked up the win for the K-Tribe, pitching one inning of scoreless relief. Kevin Dixon made his first start since May 25, going four innings, giving up two hits and one earned run. T.J. Burton pitched a hitless seventh inning, earning his 11th save of the season. Jake Stevens (1-6) picked up the loss for Myrtle Beach, going five innings, giving up 10 hits and four earned runs. The K-Tribe will send Joe Ness to the mound for game three of this four-game series, tonight at 7 at Historic Grainger Stadium.
