LONDON (AFX) - Risk management and insurance broking group Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group PLC said pretax profits for the six months to June 30 edged up to 48.6 mln stg from 48.1 mln stg a year earlier as turnover rose to 260.4 mln stg from 250.7 mln.

CEO Dominic Burke said: 'In light of the difficult trading conditions, we have delivered a creditable performance. Profits have been stabilised and we have made significant progress with our operational review.
