C. Arlene Oldfield, 79, of North Liberty, formerly of Kalona and Wellman, died Monday, September 4, 2006 in Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, following a lengthy illness.

Services were Thursday, September 7, in Peterseim Funeral Home, Kalona, with the Reverend Rich Pippert officiating. Burial was in the Wellman Cemetery.

She was a member of Naomi Chapter, OES, Past Matron of Naomi Chapter #185, Kalona United Methdosit Church, state and national realtors' associations, a former member of Kalona Rotary Club and Alpha Club, past president of Kalona Community Club and past president of English River Board of Realtors.

Survivors include four children, Shirley Jean Reed of Dallas, Texas, Nancy L. Posson of North Liberty, Michael E. Brittain and Steve R. Brittain, both of Marshalltown; 11 grandchildren, Angela Crawford, Kelly Samuels, Darren Mossman, Heather Bair, Jennifer Briscoe, Joe, Chris and William Brittain, Jennifer Witte, Sara Brittain and Katie Brittain; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Keith Arnold of Holt, Missouri and Earl Arnold of Florida; and one sister, Linda and husband Michael Blochoweak of Dayton, Nevada.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-mother, Elva Mullen Arnold; and eight siblings, Phyllis Pollard, Floyd Arnold, Charles Arnold, Rickey Arnold, Lee Arnold, Dale Arnold, Margaret Arnold and Lois Knowles.
